Front of House - servers/Bartenders

We need weekend warriors! This is a great second job! Many of our events are located in or near downtown Dayton at venues like The Masonic Center, The Grande Hall, Dayton Arcade, The Packard Museum, Carillon Park, The Air Force Museum and others.

Elite Catering is hiring part-time, weekend servers for our busy wedding season. Duties include working as a team to execute outstanding events, personalized service for VIP's, setting up, serving and then tearing down an event space. Hours are usually 3p-11:30p on Saturdays with Friday and some Sunday shifts available. We are looking to hire and train those individuals with at least 2 Saturdays a month available.

Requirements:

~Must pass a federal background check with no felonies or anything related to theft or violence.

~Be clean cut, no visible tattoos, no loud or attention getting hair or makeup.

~Reliable transportation.

~We are hiring at all levels of experience.  There are 3 components of training that must be completed before we can schedule you on events.  The time to complete this training is paid but must be done in order and in a matter of 14 days from hire.


Event Manager

We are seeking an Event Manager to supervise and manage catering events for our company. As an Event Manager, you will be responsible for managing the staff, ensuring that banquet operations run smoothly, and prioritizing the comfort and safety of our guests.

To be a successful Event Manager, you should have strong leadership skills and be able to manage multiple streams of information. Ultimately, a top-notch Event Manager should remain calm in stressful situations and demonstrate excellent time management and organizational skills.

Responsibilities:

~Welcoming guests upon their arrival and assisting them with their seating arrangements.

~Assisting managers and organizers with planning the layout and logistics of events.

~Setting up and managing staff shifts and timetables.

~Providing staff with the necessary training, including customer service and serving etiquette.

~Managing the setup of events.

~Running the floor and coordinating the food and drink service by liaising with the kitchen and service staff.

~Monitoring the inventory of supplies, equipment, and rental items.

~Tending to guests’ requests, questions, and complaints.

~Ensuring that the venue and facilities remain neat and clean.

~Ensuring that all applicable safety regulations are communicated and adhered to.


Event Director

Work with clients to create a memorable event that is executed flawlessly by our on-site catering team. You are the point of contact for clients throughout the planning process as well as the liaison between the executive management team and on-site staff, the day of the event, on how to execute the event to the clients expectations.
Responsibilities:
~Create contracts and manage deposits, payments, and final payments

~Create sales proposals

~Set up and meet with clients for event details

  • Finalize menu selections and descriptions

  • Review and finalize bar selections for the event

  • Review timeline, flow of the event and all event details

  • Enter all notes from the meetings for the staff to be able to execute the event

~Coordinate with venue contacts

  • Schedule delivery and pickup of all rentals

  • Design floor plans based on venue restrictions and inventory

  • Maintain a working relationship with venues

~Manage accounts

  • Reserve the initial rental order and make changes as needed

  • Communicate with clients to maintain a relationship

  • Send updated proposals and final invoices to clients

~Communicate with Executive Team and Event Managers

  • Schedule event managers to attend details meetings

  • Review overall logistical planning of events with executive team

  • Review any changes made the week of with the executive team

  • Review event with event manager week of the event

~Day of Responsibilities

  • On-site to assist managers with last minute details

  • Check in with the client throughout the event to make sure we are exceeding expectations

  • Assist the event manager through dinner service

Qualifications and Skills
Previous management experience in catering, hotel f&b, event planning, or customer service for 2 or more years is desired. This is a full time, non-benefited, salary position. Some evening hours and Saturdays per event schedule (we try to rotate and make sure each employee has 1 Saturday off per month. 2 days off a week (Sunday's we try to be closed)


Catering prep cook/event chef

Elite Catering is looking for an experienced catering prep cook for a heavy production load. Duties include precision preparation of our recipes, leading the BOH at events and outstanding sanitation.

Our food is made from scratch and it is important to find a cook who will put LOVE into their preparations.

A valid drivers licence is required as you will be required to drive company vehicles to and from events. You must be able to lift 50 pounds regularly and stand on your feet for 6-8 hours.

All employees must pass a Federal background check.

Hours are flexible and while we have full time hours available, part-time workers are welcome to apply. All cooks are required to go on-site to different catered events (regularly on Thursday or Friday nights) and consistent Saturday availability in the afternoon/evening is REQUIRED...that is Game Day! We only work 5-6 Sundays a year.

Prep hours are during the day so many evenings are open!
